| In the series of work included in this exhibition Anna Mossman sets the time-consuming activity of meticulous drawing in relation to the instantaneous photographic moment. Drawings, made by hand over an extended period of time, exist solely to be photographed on positive film using a 10x8 plate camera. This is used to produce a negative print. These images invert the common negative to positive order of photography and value the copy over the original, while simultaneously assuming a variety of figurative associations. |
