Ego Sum
|
I believe in absolute facts.
I do not believe in mass culture.
I feel great compassion for the human being and for many individuals within the animal kingdom.
Nevertheless, the concept of mass culture means nothing to me.
I can see it.
Even appreciate the complexity in the intentions that officially justify it.
However, I do not believe in it. |
Art sucks too
Still!
There is something in the human mind I find greatly interesting and intriguing.
Not as a psychologist, not even as a philosopher.
But as an artist plain and simple.
Like in a landscape: where is light? White square. Where is dark? Black square. When something rises like a mountain… when it spreads out like a valley. No square. When it is crossed by water or patched by woods. Red square.
The effect of external agents upon it. Control agents. Innovative agents. A challenge.
The devastation inflicted upon the natural landscape reflects a condition similar to that to which the mind is painfully subjected. The ego is sore. Too much light. Too much heat. No wind.
